National Earth Day is April 22nd!

Posted in "How To", EdTech Musings, and Uncategorized

National Earth Day is April 22nd, BUT the window for SBA testing has opened. Who has the time right now for anything other than testing? You do! Practice the skills, universal tools AND question types, with activities that students will LOVE.

Our students today WANT to make a difference, they WANT to connect with others, they WANT to solve the problems of their world, and we NOW have the tools available so they can easily do all three. Let’s capitalize on this and create a WIN WIN WIN in our classrooms where students are getting the skills practice they need for testing, yet are excited and engaged in the activity we provide! Even better, in the process we spread the love of National Earth Day and be a part of making a difference in our world. Go to File, Make a copy. Then assign this #HyperDoc in Google Classroom as Every student gets a copy. Enjoy! Please reach out if you need any assistance in getting it edited or assigned.

The History of Earth Day | Earth Day Network

Each year, Earth Day-April 22-marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. The height of counterculture in the United States, 1970 brought the death of Jimi Hendrix, the last Beatles album, and Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” War raged in Vietnam and students nationwide overwhelmingly opposed it.
