The Flipped Classroom

In a blended or flipped environment, students receive their “lesson” ahead of time via video providing added in-class time for face-to-face instruction. Time is precious and with the 21st century tools available to us today as educators, there is no reason not to use these tools to capitalize on time in class with our students. Providing content to students via video provides so many advantages; the ability to stop, rewind, and review at any time, support for the home, and much needed face-to-face time with students. Though there are many tools available, this session will focus primarily on three; Screencastify, Nimbus, and Doceri. All three offer powerful, but different uses for video creation. This Slide deck will cover the basics of obtaining and setup of the above tools, how to best utilize them, as well as ideas of use for both student and instructor.
