This was a lesson I ran in a 3rd grade classroom. It was a Title I school filled with amazing students, eager to learn, and who had little exposure to anything in the world that wasn’t within the immediate blocks of their homes. But they had an amazing teacher who was always bringing the world to them and was wide open to exploring lessons that were “outside” the parameters of her pacing guide. I just happened to be on vacation and ran across a vendor selling water beads. I immediately thought of this teacher and her amazing 3rd grade class. This is what came of that.
